Allah, the Wise and Merciful, chooses messengers from the angels and from mankind

I take refuge with Allaah from the accursed devil.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem: In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Welcome to my blog and praise the Magnificent Lord as you enter: Allahu Akbar: Allah is the Greatest .
May the Peace and Blessing of Allah Azza wa Jal, our Lord Glorified and Praised be He, be upon our beloved  Prophet, his Family, and Companions.
Allah, the Wise and Merciful, chooses messengers from the angels and from mankind.
اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِى مِنَ الْمَلَـئِكَةِ رُسُلاً وَمِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ
(75. Allah chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.)
 يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الاٍّمُورُ
 (76. He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters.)
Surah 22 Al Hajj Verse 75-76
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah tells us that He chooses Messengers from His angels as He wills by His law and decree, and He chooses Messengers from mankind to convey His Message.
(Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.) means, He hears all that His servants say, and He sees them and knows who among them is deserving of that, as He says:
(Allah knows best with whom to place His Message) [6:124]
(He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters.) He knows what will happen to His Messengers and the Message He sent them with, for none of their affairs are hidden from Him. He says:
(“The All-Knower of the Ghayb (Unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb.”)[72:26] until His saying;
(and He keeps count of all things.) [72:28] So He, may He be glorified, is guarding them, and is Witness to what is said about them. He is protecting them and supporting them.
(O Messenger! Proclaim which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind) [5:67].

The Holy Quran is the word of Allah; it has been sent down to guide us and the guidance can online be gained through reading quran online. No other book can be like holy quran. As you come to the learn tajweed quran, Allah speaks to you and reading Arabic Quran is to hear Him, even to converse with Him, and to walk in His ways. So it is must for us as a Muslim to learn and do quran memorization by heart and the Quran tutor should teach the kids from quran qaida and then teaching quran online along with the quran tafseer and let the kids memorize quran so that we as Muslim could learn quran tajweed rules and then understand the quran tafseer  It is the encounter of life with the Life-giver. 'God - there is no god but He, the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting (by whom all subsist)  He has sent down upon you the Book with the Truth ... as a guidance unto mankind ...' (Al 'Imran 3: 2-3 learn quran recitation). So we should always remember the guidance of Allah and we should be listening to quran online along with obeying the commandments of Allah so let us join hands to lean the Koran and let our kids do quran memorization and learn the teaching of quran education online and apply them in there life there is kids quran lesson available online as well

The noblest of messengers

Welcome to my blog and praise the Magnificent Lord as you enter: Allahu Akbar: Allah is the Greatest .

The noblest of messengers.
(77. O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.)
(78. And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibrahim. He has named you Muslims both before and in this (Qur’an), that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So, perform the Salah, give the Zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your Mawla, what an Excellent Mawla and what an Excellent Helper!)
Surah 22 Al Hajj Verse 77-78
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
It was reported from `Uqbah bin `Amir that the Prophet said:
(Surat Al-Hajj has been blessed with two Sajdahs, so whoever does not prostrate them should not read them.)
(And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive.) means, with your wealth and your tongues and your bodies. This is like the Ayah:
(Have Taqwa of Allah as is His due.) [3:102]
(He has chosen you,) means, `O Ummah [of Islam], Allah has selected you and chosen you over all other nations, and has favored you and blessed you and honored you with the noblest of Messengers and the noblest of Laws.’
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) He has not given you more than you can bear and He has not obliged you to do anything that will cause you difficulty except that He has created for you a way out. So the Salah, which is the most important pillar of Islam after the two testimonies of faith, is obligatory, four Rak`ahs when one is settled, which are shortened to two Rak`ah when one is traveling. According to some Imams, only one Rak`ahs is obligatory at times of fear, as was recorded in the Hadith. A person may pray while walking or riding, facing the Qiblah or otherwise. When praying optional prayers while traveling, one may face the Qiblah or not. A person is not obliged to stand during the prayer if he is sick; the sick person may pray sitting down, and if he is not able to do that then he may pray lying on his side. And there are other exemptions and dispensations which may apply to the obligatory prayers and other duties. So the Prophet said:
(I have been sent with the easy Hanifi way.) And he said to Mu`adh and Abu Musa, when he sent them as governors to Yemen:
(Give good news and do not repel them. Make things easy for the people and do not make the things difficult for them.) And there are many similar Hadiths. Ibn `Abbas said concerning the Ayah,
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship), “This means difficulty.”
(It is the religion of your father Ibrahim. ) Ibn Jarir said, “This refers back to the Ayah,
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) meaning, any difficulty.” On the contrary, He has made it easy for you, like the religion of your father Ibrahim. He said, “It may be that it means: adhere to the religion of your father Ibrahim.” I say: This interpretation of the Ayah is like the Ayah:
(Say: “Truly, my Lord has guided me to a straight path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim, a Hanif) [6:161]
(He has named you Muslims both before and in this (Qur’an),) Imam `Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said, narrating from Ibn Jurayj, from `Ata’, from Ibn `Abbas: concerning Allah’s saying,
(He has named you Muslims before) “This refers to Allah, may He be glorified.” This was also the view of Mujahid, `Ata’, Ad-Dahhak, As-Suddi, Muqatil bin Hayyan and Qatadah. Mujahid said, “Allah named you Muslims before, in the previous Books and in Adh-Dhikr,
(and in this) means, the Qur’an.” This was also the view of others, because Allah says:
(He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) Then He urged them to follow the Message which His Messenger brought, by reminding them that this was the religion of their father Ibrahim. Then He mentioned His blessings to this Ummah, whereby He mentioned them and praised them long ago in the Books of the Prophets which were recited to the rabbis and monks. Allah says:
(He has named you Muslims both before) meaning, before the Qur’an,
(and in this.) Under the explanation of this Ayah, An-Nasa’i recorded from Al-Harith Al-Ash`ari from the Messenger of Allah , who said:
(Whoever adopts the call of Jahiliyyah, will be one of those who will crawl on their knees in Hell.) A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, even if he fasts and performs Salah” He said,
(Yes, even if he fasts and performs Salah. So adopt the call of Allah whereby He called you Muslims and believers and servants of Allah.)
(that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind!) means, `thus We have made you a just and fair nation, the best of nations, and all other nations will testify to your justice. On the Day of Resurrection you will be,
(witnesses over mankind),’ because on that Day all the nations will acknowledge its leadership and its precedence over all others. Therefore, on the Day of Resurrection the testimony of the members of this community will be accepted as proof that the Messengers conveyed the Message of their Lord to them, and the Messenger will testify that he conveyed the Message to them.
(So perform the Salah, give Zakah) means, respond to this great blessing with gratitude by fulfilling your duties towards Allah, doing that which He has enjoined upon you and avoiding that which He had forbidden. Among the most important duties are establishing regular prayer and giving Zakah. Zakah is a form of beneficence towards Allah’s creatures, whereby He has enjoined upon the rich to give a little of their wealth to the poor each year, to help the weak and needy. We have already mentioned its explanation in the Ayah of Zakah in Surat At-Tawbah (9:5).
(and hold fast to Allah.) means, seek the help and support of Allah and put your trust in Him, and get strength from Him.
(He is your Mawla,) meaning, He is your Protector and your Helper, He is the One Who will cause you to prevail against your enemies.
(what an Excellent Mawla and what an Excellent Helper!) He is the best Mawla and the best Helper against your enemies.
This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Al-Hajj. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and Companions, and grant them peace; may Allah honor and be pleased with the Companions and those who follow them in truth until the Day of Resurrection.

Allah, Owner of Bounty and Generous, commands mankind to believe and spend in his cause

Allah, Owner of Bounty and Generous, commands mankind to believe and spend in his cause.
(7. Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend, theirs will be a great reward.)
 (8. And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allah! While the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord; and He has indeed taken your covenant, if you are real believers.)
(9. It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat to His servant that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.)
Surah 57 Al Hadid Verse 7-9
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah the Exalted and Blessed orders having perfect faith in Him and in His Messenger, and that one should persist on this path adhereing firmly to it. Allah encourages spending from what He has made mankind trustees of, the wealth that you – mankind – have, that He has lent you. This wealth was in the hands of those before you and was later transferred to you. Therefore, O mankind, spend as Allah commanded you from the wealth that He entrusted to you for His obedience. Otherwise, He will hold you accountable and punish you for your ignoring what He ordained on you in this regard. Allah’s statement,
(of that whereof He has made you trustees.), indicates that you – mankind — will surrender this wealth to someone else. In this case, those who will inherit from you might obey Allah with their wealth, and thus acquire more happiness than you on account of what Allah has granted them. They might disobey Allah, and in this case you will have helped them commit evil and transgression. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir said, “I came to Allah’s Messenger as he was reciting and saying,
((abundance diverts you.)( The Son of `Adam claims, “My wealth, my wealth.” But is there anything belonging to you, except that which you consumed, which you used, or which you wore and then it became worn or you gave as charity and sent it forward) Muslim also collected with the addition:
(Other than that, you will go away from it and leave it behind for other people.) Allah’s statement,
(And such of you as believe and spend, theirs will be a great reward.) encourages having faith and spending in acts of obedience. Allah the Exalted said,
(And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allah! While the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord;) meaning, “what prevents you from believing, while the Messenger is among you calling you to faith and bringing forward clear proofs and evidences that affirm the truth of what he brought you” And we have reported the Hadith through different routes in the beginning of the explanation on the chapter on Faith in Sahih Al-Bukhari, wherein one day the Messenger of Allah said to his Companions,
(Who do you consider among the believers as having the most amazing faith) They said, “The angels.” He said,
(And what prevents them from believing when they are with their Lord) They said, “Then the Prophets.” He said,
(What prevents them from believing when the revelation comes down to them) They said, “Then us.” He said,
(What prevents you from believing, when I am amongst you Actually, the believers who have the most amazing faith, are some people who will come after you; they will find pages that they will believe in.) We mentioned a part of this Hadith when explaining Allah’s statement in Surat Al-Baqarah,
(who believe in the Ghayb (unseen).)(2:3) Allah’s statement,
(and He has indeed taken your covenant,) is similar to another of His statements,
(And remember Allah’s favor to you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said: “We hear and we obey.”)(5:7), which refers to giving the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet . Ibn Jarir said that the covenant mentioned here, is that taken from mankind, when they were still in Adam’s loin. This is also the opinion of Mujahid, and Allah knows best. Allah said,
(It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat to His servant) clear proofs, unequivocal evidences and plain attestations,
(that He may bring you out from darkness into light.) from the darkness of ignorance, disbelief and contradictory statements to the light of guidance, certainty and faith,
(And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.) by revealing the Divine Books and sending the Messengers to guide mankind, eradicating doubts and removing confusion. After Allah commanded mankind to first believe and spend, He again encouraged them to acquire faith and stated that He has removed all barriers between them and the acquisition of faith. Allah again encouraged them to spend,
(And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the cause of Allah And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth.) means, spend and do not fear poverty or scarcity. Surely, He in Whose cause you spent is the King and Owner of the heavens and earth and has perfect control over their every affair, including their treasuries. He is the Owner of the Throne, with all the might that it contains, and He is the One Who said,
(And whatsoever you spend of anything, He will replace it. And He is the best of providers.)(34:39), and,
(whatever is with you, will be exhausted, and whatever is with Allah will remain.)(16:96) Therefore, those who trust in and depend on Allah will spend, and they will not fear poverty or destitution coming to them from the Owner of the Throne. They know that Allah will surely compensate them for whatever they spend.

Islam is the religion of all Prophets, peace be upon them

Islam is the religion of all Prophets, peace be upon them.
(161. Say: “Truly, my Lord has guided me to a straight path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim, Hanifan (monotheism) and he was not of the Mushrikin.”)
 قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاَتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى للَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَـلَمِينَ
(162. Say: “Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.”)
لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
(163. “He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.”)
Surah 6 Al Anaam Verse 161-163
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah commands His Prophet , the chief of the Messengers, to convey the news of being guided to Allah’s straight path. This path is neither wicked, nor deviant,
(a right religion…) that is, established on firm grounds,
(The religion of Ibrahim, Hanifan and he was not of the Mushrikin.) Allah said in similar Ayat,
(And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim except him who deludes himself) [2:130], and,
(And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibrahim.) [22:78], and,
(Verily, Ibrahim was an Ummah (or a nation), obedient to Allah, a Hanif, and he was not one of the Mushrikin. (He was) thankful for His (Allah’s) favors. He (Allah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous. Then, We have sent the revelation to you (saying): “Follow the religion of Ibrahim, (he was a) Hanif, and he was not of the Mushrikin”) [16:120-123]. Ordering the Prophet to follow the religion of Ibrahim, the Hanifiyyah, does not mean that Prophet Ibrahim reached more perfection in it than our Prophet . Rather, our Prophet perfectly established the religion and it was completed for him; and none before him reached this level of perfection. This is why he is the Final Prophet, the chief of all the Children of Adam who holds the station of praise and glory, the honor of intercession on the Day of Resurrection. All creation (on that Day) will seek him, even Ibrahim the friend of Allah, peace be upon him [to request the beginning of Judgement]. Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, “The Messenger of Allah was asked, `Which religion is the best with Allah, the Exalted’ He said,
(Al-Hanifiyyah As-Samhah (the easy monotheism))”
Allah said next,
(Say: “Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the all that exists.”) Allah commands the Prophet to inform the idolators who worship other than Allah and sacrifice to something other than Him, that he opposes them in all this, for his prayer is for Allah, and his rituals are in His Name alone, without partners. Allah said in a similar statement,
(Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice.) [108:2], meaning, make your prayer and sacrifice for Allah alone. As for the idolators, they used to worship the idols and sacrifice to them, so Allah commanded the Prophet to defy them and contradict their practices. Allah, the Exalted, commanded him to dedicate his intention and heart to being sincere for Him alone. Mujahid commented,
(Verily, my prayer and my Nusuk…) refers to sacrificing during Hajj and `Umrah.
The Ayah,
(and I am the first of the Muslims.) means, from this Ummah, according to Qatadah. This is a sound meaning, because all Prophets before our Prophet were calling to Islam, which commands worshipping Allah alone without partners. Allah said in another Ayah,
(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “None has the right to be worshipped but I, so worship Me.”) [21:25] Allah informed us that Nuh said to his people,
(But if you turn away, then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims.) [10:72] Allah said,
(And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim except him who deludes himself Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, “Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!” He said, “I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the all that exists.” And this was enjoined by Ibrahim upon his sons and by Ya`qub (saying), “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except as Muslims.”)[2:130-132]. Yusuf, peace be upon him, said,
(My Lord! You have indeed bestowed on me of the sovereignty, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams — the (Only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector) in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous.) [12:101] Musa said,
(And Musa said: “O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims.” They said: “In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are wrongdoers. And save us by your mercy from the disbelieving folk”) [10:84-86] Allah said,
(Verily, We did send down the Tawrah, therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [did also].) [5:44], and,
(And when I (Allah) inspired Al-Hawariyyun (the disciples) [of `Isa] to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: “We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims.”) [5:111] Therefore, Allah states that He sent all His Messengers with the religion of Islam, although their respective laws differed from each other, and some of them abrogated others. Later on, the Law sent with Muhammad abrogated all previous laws and nothing will ever abrogate it, forever. Certainly, Muhammad’s Law will always be apparent and its flags raised high, until the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet said,
(We, the Prophets, are half brothers, but our religion is one.) Half brothers, mentioned in the Hadith, refers to the brothers to one father, but different mothers. Therefore, the religion, representing the one father, is one; worshipping Allah alone without partners, even though the laws which are like the different mothers in this parable, are different. Allah the Most High knows best. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Ali said that when the Messenger of Allah used to start the prayer with Takbir [saying, "Allahu Akbar'' (Allah is the Great)] he would then supplicate,
(I have directed my face towards He Who has created the heavens and earth, Hanifan and I am not among the Mushrikin. Certainly, my prayer, sacrifice, living and dying are all for Allah, Lord of the worlds.)
(O Allah! You are the King, there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have committed wrong against myself and admitted to my error, so forgive me all my sins. Verily, You, only You forgive the sins. (O Allah!) Direct me to the best conduct, for none except You directs to the best conduct. Divert me from the worst conduct, for only You divert from the worst conduct. Glorified and Exalted You are. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.) This Hadith, which was also recorded by Muslim in the Sahih, continues and mentions the Prophet’s supplication in his bowing, prostrating and final sitting positions.

There is none worthy of being worshipped except Allah, the Exalted, the Great

(24. Or have they taken for worship gods besides Him Say: “Bring your proof. This is the Reminder for those with me and the Reminder for those before me.” But most of them know not the Truth, so they are averse.)
 (25. And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “There is no God but I, so worship Me.”)
Surah 21 Al Anbiya Verse 24-25
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
(Or have they taken for worship gods besides Him Say:) — O Muhammad –
(Bring your proof.) your evidence for what you are saying.
(This is the Reminder for those with me) means, the Qur’an.
(and the Reminder for those before me) means, the previous Books, unlike what you claim. Each Book was revealed to each Prophet who was sent with the message that there is no god except Allah, but you idolators do not recognize the truth, so you turn away from it. Allah says:
(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “There is no god but I. ..”) This is like the Ayat:
(And ask those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: “Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious”) [43:45]
(And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah, and avoid Taghut (all false deities).”) [16:36] Every Prophet who was sent by Allah called people to worship Allah Alone, with no partner or associate. The natural inclination of man (Al-Fitrah) also bears witness to that. The idolators have no proof and their dispute is of no use before their Lord; on them is wrath, and for them will be a severe torment.

Believe in Allah, and His Messenger, and the Book (the Qur’an) which He has sent down to His Messenger, and the Scripture which He sent down to those before; and whosoever disbelieves in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, then indeed he has strayed far away.)
Surah 2 An Nisaa Verse 136
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah commands His faithful servants to adhere to all the elements of faith, its branches, pillars and cornerstones. This is not stated as mere redundancy, but from the view of completing faith and the continual maintenence of it. For instance, the believer proclaims in every prayer,
(Guide us to the straight way.) which means, make us aware of the straight path and increase us in guidance and strengthen us on it. In this Ayah [4:136], Allah commands the believers to believe in Him and in His Messenger, just as He said elsewhere,
(O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah, and believe in His Messenger, ). Allah’s statement,
(and the Book which He has sent down to His Messenger,) refers to the Qur’an, while,
(and the Scripture which He sent down to those before (him);) refers to the previously revealed divine Books. Allah then said,
(and whosoever disbelieves in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, then indeed he has strayed far away.) meaning, he will have deviated from the correct guidance and strayed far away from its path.

(163. Verily, We have sent the revelation to you as We sent the revelation to Nuh and the Prophets after him; We (also) sent the revelation to Ibrahim, Isma`il, Ishaq, Ya`qub, and Al-Asbat, (the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya`qub) `Isa, Ayyub, Yunus, Harun, and Sulayman; and to Dawud We gave the Zabur.)
 (164. And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, and to Musa Allah spoke directly.)
(165. Messengers as bearers of good news and warning, in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the (coming of) Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.)
Surah 4 An Nisa verse 163-165
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated that Muhammad bin Abi Muhammad said that `Ikrimah, or Sa`id bin Jubayr, related to Ibn `Abbas that he said, “Sukayn and `Adi bin Zayd said, `O Muhammad! We do not know that Allah sent down anything to any human after Musa.’ Allah sent down a rebuttal of their statement,
(Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad) as We inspired Nuh and the Prophets after him.)” Allah states that He sent down revelation to His servant and Messenger Muhammad just as He sent down revelation to previous Prophets. Allah said,
(Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad) as We inspired Nuh and the Prophets after him,) until,
(…and to Dawud We gave the Zabur. ) The `Zabur’ (Psalms) is the name of the Book revealed to Prophet Dawud, peace be upon him.
Allah said,
(And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you) Before the revelation of this Ayah. The following are the names of the Prophets whom Allah named in the Qur’an. They are: Adam, Idris, Nuh (Noah), Hud, Salih, Ibrahim (Abraham), Lut, Isma`il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya`qub (Jacob), Yusuf (Joesph), Ayyub (Job), Shu`ayb, Musa (Moses), Harun (Aaron), Yunus (Jonah), Dawud (David), Sulayman (Solomon), Ilyas (Elias), Al-Yasa` (Elisha), Zakariya (Zachariya), Yahya (John) and `Isa (Jesus), and their leader, Muhammad . Several scholars of Tafsir also listed Dhul-Kifl among the Prophets. Allah’s statement,
(and Messengers We have not mentioned to you,) means, `there are other Prophets whom We did not mention to you in the Qur’an.’
Allah said,
(and to Musa Allah spoke directly.) This is an honor to Musa, and this is why he is called the Kalim, he whom Allah spoke to directly. Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr bin Marduwyah recorded that `Abdul-Jabbar bin `Abdullah said, “A man came to Abu Bakr bin `Ayyash and said, `I heard a man recite (this Ayah this way): وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهَ مُوسَى تَكلِيمًا “and to Allah, Musa spoke directly.” Abu Bakr said, `Only a disbeliever would recite it like this.’ Al-A`mash recited it with Yahya bin Withab, who recited it with Abu `Abdur-Rahman As-Sulami who recited it with `Ali bin Abi Talib who recited with the Messenger of Allah ,
(and to Musa Allah spoke directly.)”’ Abu Bakr bin Abi Ayyash was so angry with the man who recited the Ayah differently, because he altered its words and meanings. That person was from the group of Mu`tazilah who denied that Allah spoke to Musa or that He speaks to any of His creation. We were told that some of the Mu`tazilah once recited the Ayah that way, so one teacher present said to him,  What would you do concerning Allah’s statement,
(And when Musa came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord spoke to him,) [7:143]” The Shaykh meant that the later Ayah cannot be altered or changed.
Allah said,
(Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning,) meaning, the Prophets bring good news to those who obey Allah and practice the good things that please Him. They also warn against His punishment and torment for those who defy His commandments. Allah said next,
(in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.) Allah sent down His Books and sent His Messengers with good news and warnings. He explained what He likes and is pleased with and what He dislikes and is displeased with. This way, no one will have an excuse with Allah. Allah said in other Ayat,
(And if We had destroyed them with a torment before this, they would surely have said: “Our Lord! If only You had sent us a Messenger, we should certainly have followed Your Ayat, before we were humiliated and disgraced.”) and,
(And if (We had) not (sent you to the people of Makkah) in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth. ) It is recorded in the Two Sahihs that Ibn Mas`ud said that the Messenger of Allah said,
(No one is more jealous than Allah. This is why He prohibited all types of sin committed in public or secret. No one likes praise more than Allah, and this is why He has praised Himself. No one likes to give excuse more than Allah, and this is why He sent the Prophets as bearers of good news and as warners.) In another narration, the Prophet said,
(And this is why He sent His Messengers and revealed His Books.)

Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is All-Sufficient as a witness on the prophethood of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

(168. Verily, those who disbelieve and did wrong; Allah will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way.)

(169. Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever; and this is ever easy for Allah.)
 (170. O mankind! Verily, there has come to you the Messenger with the truth from your Lord. So believe in him, it is better for you. But if you disbelieve, then certainly to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.)
Surah 4 An Nisa Verse 166-170
Allah’s statement,
(Verily, We have inspired you…) emphasized the Prophet’s prophethood and refuted the idolators and People of the Scripture who denied him. Allah said,
(But Allah bears witness to that which He has sent down unto you,) meaning, even if they deny, defy and disbelieve in you, O Muhammad, Allah testifies that you are His Messenger to whom He sent down His Book, the Glorious Qur’an that,
(Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it, (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise.) Allah then said,
(He has sent it down with His knowledge,) The knowledge of His that He willed His servants to have access to. Knowledge about the clear signs of guidance and truth, what Allah likes and is pleased with, what He dislikes and is displeased with, and knowledge of the Unseen, such as the past and the future. This also includes knowledge about His honorable attributes that no sent Messenger or illustrious angel can even know without Allah’s leave. Similarly, Allah said,
(And they will never compass anything of His knowledge except that which He wills.) and,
(but they will never compass anything of His knowledge.) Allah’s statement,
(and the angels bear witness.) to the truth of what you came with and what was revealed and sent down to you, along with Allah’s testimony to the same,
(And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Witness.) Allah said,
(Verily, those who disbelieve and prevent (others) from the path of Allah, they have certainly strayed far away.) For they are disbelievers themselves and do not follow the truth. They strive hard to prevent people from following and embracing Allah’s path. Therefore, they have defied the truth, deviated, and strayed far away from it. Allah also mentions His judgment against those who disbelieve in His Ayat, Book and Messenger, those who wrong themselves by their disbelief and hindering others from His path, committing sins and violating His prohibitions. Allah states that He will not forgive them;
(nor will He guide them to a way (that is, of good).)
(Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever…) and this is the exception. Allah then said,
(O mankind! Verily, there has come to you the Messenger with the truth from your Lord, so believe in him, it is better for you.) This Ayah means, Muhammad has come to you with guidance, the religion of truth and clear proof from Allah. Therefore, believe in what he has brought you and follow him, for this is better for you. Allah then said,
(But if you disbelieve, then certainly to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.) Allah is far too rich than to need you or your faith, and no harm could ever affect Him because of your disbelief. Allah said in another Ayah,
(And Musa said: “If you disbelieve, you and all on earth together, then verily, Allah is Rich (Free of all needs), Owner of all praise.”) Allah said here,
(And Allah is Ever All-Knowing,) He knows those who deserve to be guided, and He will guide them. He also knows those who deserve deviation, and He leads them to it,
(All-Wise) in His statements, actions, legislation and all that He decrees.

 (57. And they say: “If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land.” Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary, to which are brought fruits of all kinds, a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.)
Surah 28 Al Qasas Verse 56-57
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah says to His Messenger : `O Muhammad:
(Verily, you guide not whom you like)’ meaning, `the matter does not rest with you; all that you have to do is convey the Message, and Allah will guide whom He wills, and His is the ultimate wisdom,’ as He says:
(Not upon you is their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills.) (2:272)
(And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly.) (12:103) This Ayah is even more specific than the following:
(Verily, you guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.) meaning: Allah knows best who deserves to be guided and who deserves to be misguided. It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that this Ayah was revealed concerning Abu Talib, the paternal uncle of the Messenger of Allah . He used to protect the Prophet, support him and stand by him. He loved the Prophet dearly, but this love was a natural love, i.e., born of kinship, not a love that was born of the fact that he was the Messenger of Allah . When he was on his deathbed, the Messenger of Allah called him to Faith and to enter Islam, but the decree overtook him and he remained a follower of disbelief, and Allah’s is the complete wisdom. Az-Zuhri said: “Sa`id bin Al-Musayyib narrated to me that his father, Al-Musayyib bin Hazan Al-Makhzumi, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “When Abu Talib was dying, the Messenger of Allah came to him and found Abu Jahl bin Hisham and `Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah bin Al-Mughirah with him. The Messenger of Allah said:
(O my uncle, say La ilaha illallah, a word which I may use as evidence in your favor before Allah [in the Hereafter].) Abu Jahl bin Hisham and `Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah said: `O Abu Talib, will you leave the religion of `Abdul-Muttalib’ The Messenger of Allah kept urging him to say La ilaha illallah, and they kept saying, `Will you leave the religion of `Abdul-Muttalib’ — until, at the very end, he said that he was on the religion of `Abdul-Muttalib, and he refused to say La ilaha illallah. The Messenger of Allah said:
(By Allah, I shall certainly seek forgiveness for you unless I am told not to.) Then Allah revealed:
(It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allah’s forgiveness for the idolators, even though they be of kin) (9:113). And there was revealed concerning Abu Talib the Ayah,
(Verily, you guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills.)” This was recorded (by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) from the Hadith of Az-Zuhri.
(And they say: “If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land.”) Allah tells us that this is the excuse which was given by some of the disbelievers for not following true guidance. They said to the Messenger of Allah :
(If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land.), meaning, `we are afraid that if we follow the message of guidance that you have brought, and go against the pagan Arab tribes around us, they will seek to do us harm and wage war against us, and they may snatch us away from wherever we may be.’ Allah said in response to them:
(Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary,) meaning, the excuse they give is a lie and is false, because Allah has put them in a secure city and a venerated sanctuary which has been safe from the time it was built — how could this sanctuary be safe for them when they believed in disbelief and Shirk, and how could it not be safe for them when they become Muslims and follow the truth
(to which are brought fruits of all kinds, ) means, all kinds of fruits from the surrounding regions, from At-Ta’if and elsewhere. Similarly, the people of Makkah engaged in trade and other goods also came to their city.
(a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.) – this is why they said what they said.

1 - Reading Quran and reflecting over the Quran Is our Duty
Read quran and it will guided us to the true teaching of The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) he summarized the religion of Islam with this statement: “The Religion is naseehah (sincerity)!” So then Tameem ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, then said, “We asked, ‘To whom?’” He said: “To Allah, HIS BOOK holy quran, His Messenger, the leaders of the people, and their common folk.” [Muslim] so to study the religion people should go to the source of and source of Islam is the quran so learning quran and reading quran with the meaning the quran tafsir and then explore the words of wisdom. And for the Muslims the sincerity that is due to the Book of Allah includes doing the quran recitation, listening to quran along with learning the tajweed rules and reciting it beautifully, letting our kids learn quran learning holy quran tafseer and the reasons for its revelation, affirming that it is the Truth, the perfect Speech of Allah and not part of the creation, honoring it and defending it, abiding by the orders and prohibitions found in it and teaching quran to spread the word or truth and calling to it. So by learning quran education online and reflecting over the Quran online, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for that. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Quran then becomes a proof for him on the Day of Judgment! And that is our second benefit we will take by embracing this Noble Book...

Commentary on the words of Allah, “and His Throne was on the water”

Why does Allah, may He be exalted, say “and His Throne was on the water”? Is Allah’s Throne on the water now?.

Praise be to Allaah.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds” [Hood 12:7].
This is a statement by Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, that His Throne was above the water before He created the heavens and earth and what is in them. Qataadah said: Your Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, is telling you how His creation began before He created the heavens and the earth.
Tafseer al-Tabari, 15/246
Al-Bukhaari (2953) narrated from ‘Imraan ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that some of the people of Yemen asked the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) this and said: We have come to you to ask you about this matter. He said: “There was Allah, and there was nothing else besides Him, and His Throne was over the water. He wrote all things in the Book (in heaven) and He created the heavens and the earth.”
Both the verse and the hadeeth are speaking of the beginning of creation, and say that the Throne of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, was over the water before the creation of heaven and earth.
This does not mean that the Throne is not still over the water.
Al-Bukhaari (6869) and Muslim (1659) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Right Hand of Allaah is full and (its fullness) is not decreased by any spending; it is overflowing by night and day. Think of what He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth, but all this spending had not decreased what is in His Right Hand.” He said: “And his Throne is over the water, and in His other Hand is the power to bring about death, and He raises some people and brings other low.”
Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In the report of Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh it says “and the Throne is over the water.” The apparent meaning is that it was like that when the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spoke these words. The apparent meaning of the hadeeth which comes before it is that the Throne was over the water before the creation of the heavens and earth, and the two hadeeth when taken together indicate that it is still over the water. End quote.
Fath al-Baari, 20/496
The meaning of the word kaana (was) in the verse refers to what happened in the past, before the creation of the heavens and the earth. From his saying in the other hadeeth, “His Throne is over the water,” it may be understood that it is still like that.
And Allah knows best.
Its the responsibility of every Moslem in learning quran and read tajweed and we also have to teach our kids Quran and not only the Quran teaching we should let then be aware of the basic of Islam and why it was reviled you bet it was vituperated and truth teaching of holy Quran and with tajweed quran we read Quran we can understand better all the replies that are asked if we study koran from a qualified Quran tutor he will let you know verity heart of Islam and why koran was reviled for it we should gain the ability of the Book with there translation and the context of when those verses were reviled and why and that is only potential when we keep on with not simply learning quran for beginners but gaining the information of Quran tafseer and one query that we all is necessary to ask our self that why we all are here in the world to do good acts or to do bad human action to promote correct or to promote incorrect and will we be answerable to any one after this life of not then the enquiry remains the exact same that the reasons why we are here in the world but if yes then whom we have to reply is there any Lord All these response exist when we go deep in to the Quran education do Quran reading and the so let us unite hands to full fill our responsibility. We all must do quran memorization and listen to quran online when ever we have time to stay in touch

Commentary on the verse “And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:107]

Some people make a connection between the fact that the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not kill anyone except one man during his life and the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:107]. Is there any basis for making this connection?.

Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:107]. The scholars differed concerning the ‘Aalameen (translated here as “mankind, jinns and all that exists”; also often translated as “the worlds”) to whom the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was sent as a mercy.
Ibn Jibreen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Here Allah, may He be exalted, says to His Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): We have not sent you, O Muhammad, to Our creation except as a mercy to those to whom We have sent you of Our creation.
Then the commentators differed as to the meaning of this verse: does it mean as a mercy to all of the world to whom Muhammad was sent, believers and disbelievers alike? Or does it mean to the believers only and not the disbelievers?
Some of them said that what is meant is to all the world, both believers and disbelievers.
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: As far as the one who believes in Allah and the Last Day is concerned, mercy will be decreed for him (by virtue of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) in this world and the Hereafter; as for the one who does not believe in Allah and His Messenger, he will be saved (by virtue of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) from the punishments that befell the previous landslides and being pelted with stones from heaven.
Others said that what is meant is he is a mercy to the believers only, to the exclusion of the disbelievers.
The more correct of the two opinions is that which was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas, which says that Allah sent His Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as a mercy to all the world, both believers and disbelievers. As for the believers, Allah guided them through him and caused them, through their belief in him and their acting upon what he brought from Allah, to enter Paradise. As for the disbelievers, by virtue of him He warded off from them the hastening of the punishment that came upon the nations who disbelieved in their Messengers before him.
End quote from Tafseer at-Tabari, 18/551-552. See also Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 5/385; Tafseer as-Sa‘di, p. 532
Ibn Hajar al-Haytami (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
In the sending of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) there is mercy even for his enemies, in that the punishment will not be hastened for them.
End quote from Fataawa al-Hadeethiyyah, p. 34
One of the things that explained this universal mercy by the sending of our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when they said: ‘O Allah! If this (the Qur’an) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment.
And Allah would not punish them while you (Muhammad ) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allah’s) Forgiveness.”
[al-Anfaal 8:32-33].
Shaykh Muhammad Rasheed Rida (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
It was not in accordance with Allah’s way or laws, or His mercy or wisdom, to punish them when you, O Messenger, are among them; rather He sent you as a mercy to the worlds and as a blessing, not as a punishment. Moreover it was not His way to punish those like them who rejected the Messengers when they were still among them. Rather He would first bring them (His Messengers) out from among them as Ibn ‘Abbaas said.
End quote from Tafseer al-Manaar, 9/545
Think about this story that highlight the attitude of the Prophet of mercy (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when the people of at-Taa’if rejected him and harmed him severely, when all he was doing was calling them to believe in the Oneness of Allah, and he did not want anything from them apart from that.
Al-Bukhaari (3231) and Muslim (1795) narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): Was there ever a day that was worse for you than the day of Uhud? He said: “I suffered at the hands of your people, and the worst that I suffered from them was the day of al-‘Aqabah, when I presented myself to Ibn ‘Abd Yaleel ibn ‘Abd Kulaal, and he did not respond to what I wanted. So I went, with signs of distress on my face, and I did not recover until I was in Qarn al-Tha’aalib, where I lifted my head and saw that a cloud was shading me. I looked and saw therein Jibraa’eel (peace be upon him), who called me and said: Allaah has heard what your people said to you, and how they have rejected you. He has sent to you the angel of the mountains, so that you can tell him to do whatever you want to them. Then he called the angel of the mountains to me and he greeted me with salaam, then said: O Muhammad, Allaah has heard what your people have said to you, and I am the angel of the mountains. Your Lord has sent me so that you can tell me what to do. What do you want? If you wish I will bring together the two mountains of Makkah to crush them. The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Rather I hope that Allaah will bring forth from their loins people who will worship Allaah alone, not associating anything with Him.”
Secondly:
More than one of the scholars have stated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not kill anyone with his own hand except Ubay ibn Khalaf, whom he killed on the day of Uhud.
Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the most perfect of people in terms of his courage that is required of leaders in war, but he did not kill anyone with his hand except Ubay ibn Khalaf, whom he killed on the day of Uhud. He did not kill anyone else with his own hand before or after that.
End quote from Minhaaj as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah, 8/57
Perhaps Allah, may He be exalted, intended the severest punishment for this wretch, so He decreed that he should be killed at the hands of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), for he was one of the most hostile of people towards him and his religion. Al-Bukhaari (4076) narrated  that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Allah becomes extremely angry with the one who is killed by a Prophet and the anger of Allah became severe against the one who caused the face of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to bleed.
Ahmad (3858) narrated from Ibn Mas‘ood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The most severely punished of people on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who was killed by a Prophet or who killed a Prophet, or a leader of misguidance or an image maker.”

Thirdly:
There is no doubt that, although the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not kill anyone with his own hand except this wretch, he is the one who prescribed and enjoined jihad and urged the Muslims to go out on jihad. There is no contradiction between the fact that he prescribed and enjoined jihad and killed that wretch or anyone else, and the words of Allah, may He be exalted, (interpretation of the meaning) “And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:107], because Allah, may He be exalted, only sent him to bring people forth from darkness to light, and to guide them to His straight path. He prescribed for him jihad for His sake and to fight His enemies who wanted to extinguish the light of Allah and spread mischief on earth.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O Prophet (Muhammad )! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, - and worst indeed is that destination”
[at-Tawbah 9:73]
“O Prophet (Muhammad )! Urge the believers to fight”
[al-Anfaal 8:65].
Jihad for the sake of Allah and fighting the enemies of Allah were among the greatest means of spreading this religion and bringing people out from the darkness of kufr to the light of faith. This is the greatest mercy that people can attain: that Allah saves them from kufr and guides them to faith, and brings them out of darkness into light.
Because of this mercy (resulting from jihad), which people may not realize, our Lord was amazed at it (this mercy), as it says in the hadeeth.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Our Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, is amazed with a people who are led into Paradise in chains.”
Narrated by [Abu Dawood, no. 2677]
In the commentary on the verse in which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “You (true believers) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:110], Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “You are the best of people for people, you bring them with chains on their necks until they enter Islam.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4557
Think about the mercy of the Most Merciful of those who show mercy, Whose mercy no one can describe, the extent of which no one can comprehend. Glory be to Him, His slaves cannot comprehend Him; He is more merciful to His slaves than a mother to her child, as His Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) told us. Yet despite that He tests them with calamities and trials, by His wisdom, and He punishes His enemies with vengeance and humiliation in this world and with eternity in Hell in the Hereafter, and none of that contradicts the perfection of His mercy towards His slaves, glory be to Him.

Why does the worshipper prostrate twice in each rak‘ah?

When I was a kid I was told that when God sent Iblis out of the Heavens and looking at the rage of Allah, the Angels bowed a second time thus the reason for us to Bow twice in our prayers. Is there any truth in it ? as I can't find any references. Could you please clarify ?.

Praise be to Allaah.
What you say is not correct and it is not permissible to mention it or speak of it for a number of reasons:
Firstly:
It is a claim for which there is no evidence. The books of tafseer are readily available and none of their authors said such a thing.
Secondly:
In His Book Allah, may He be exalted, only mentioned one command to prostrate to Adam, then He said that the angels all prostrated except Iblees, who was one of the jinn; he rebelled against the command of his Lord and refused and was arrogant, and thus the test was completed.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam.". Snd they prostrated except Iblîs (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allâh)”
[al-Baqarah 2:34]
“And (remember) when We said to the angels;"Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." So they prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan). He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord”
[al-Kahf 18:50].
Thirdly:
The prostration of the angels was to Adam (peace be upon him): “‘Prostrate before Adam’”. As for our prostration in prayer, it is to Allah, may He be exalted. There is no connection between the prostration of the worshipper in his prayer and the prostration of the angels before Adam (peace be upon him).
Fourthly:
There is nothing in the Qur’aan or in the Sunnah to suggest that when Iblees refused to prostrate to Adam, Allah got very angry in a way that alarmed the angels. So it is not permissible to attribute such anger to Him in this situation. It is not permissible to claim such a thing except with sound evidence.
It should be noted that Allah, may He be exalted, has forbidden us to speak of Him and His religion without knowledge. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“He [Shaitân (Satan)] commands you only what is evil and Fahshâ (sinful), and that you should say against Allâh what you know not”
[al-Baqarah 2:169]
“Say (O Muhammad ): "(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al-Fawâhish (great evil sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse,) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allâh for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allâh of which you have no knowledge”
[al-A‘raaf 7:33].
Al-Daarimi (174) narrated from Abu Moosa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said in his khutbah: Whoever has some knowledge let him teach it to the people, but let him beware of saying that of which he has no knowledge, lest he transgress the limits and go beyond the pale of Islam.
And Allah knows best.

Tafseer of the verse “He has let loose the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress” [ar-Rahmaan 55:19-20]

In verses 19-22 in surah Ar-Rahman, Allah refers to two seas meeting side by side, and both of them having a barrier. What does this refer to?.

Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
What we have seen according to most of the authors of books of tafseer (Qur’aanic commentary) is that what is meant by the two seas here is the two well-known types of water that are found on earth:
(i)                rivers of fresh water
(ii)              seas of salty water
The evidence for this interpretation is the verse in which Allah says, describing the two seas (interpretation of the meaning): “one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter” [al-Furqaan 25:53].
The evidence supports the view of the majority, unlike those who say that it refers to two seas, a sea in heaven and a sea on earth, or the seas of the Persians and Byzantines, or other strange opinions of which it cannot truly be said that one of them is palatable and sweet and the other is salt and bitter.
Secondly:
With regard to the barrier between the two seas that is mentioned in these verses, there are two scholarly views concerning it:
-1-
That what is meant by the barrier between the two seas (i.e., between rivers and seas) is the vast lands that separate the rivers from the seas, so that there is no mixing of their waters; rather each of them has its own course and destination that is separate from that of the other.
This is the literalist interpretation that we find with many of the commentators.
Al-Haafiz Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them” [al-Furqaan 25:53] means: between the sweet water and the salty water
“a barrier”, i.e., the dry land
“a complete partition” i.e., an obstacle that prevents one of them reaching the other.
End quote from Tafseer al-Qur’aan al-Azeem, 6/117
-2-
That between the two “seas”, the fresh and the salty, there is a barrier that is not visible to human eyes. Allah created it by His decree and it prevents mixing of the fresh water with the salty water even though the two waters meet at the mouths of rivers. This was narrated by al-Qurtubi from Ibn ‘Abbaas, and as-Suyooti attributed it to a report from ‘Abd ibn Humayyid from Qataadah. See ad-Durr al-Manthoor, 6/371
Imam al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)” [an-Naml 27:61] i.e., a barrier by His will, lest the salty mix with the fresh water. Ibn ‘Abbaas said: A barrier by His decree, so one does not change the other. End quote from Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 13/222
Al-‘Allaamah at-Taahir ibn ‘Aashoor (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
He created the barrier between the two seas in His great wisdom. It is a virtual barrier resulting from each type of water pushing against the other so that they do not get mixed, because of the relative difference in density due to the different components of salt water and fresh water.
So the barrier is made of both types, and it is not something different that separates them.
End quote from at-Tahreer wa’t-Tanweer, 20/13
There is no reason not to adopt both opinions in interpreting this verse, because each is correct and there is no contradiction between them. The barrier may indeed be dry land that separates rivers and seas, and it may be a virtual barrier (resulting from differences in density) which oceanographers speak of today. This is a different understanding, but there is no contradiction.
Dr Husayn al-Harbi says:
… The first type of different interpretation of the verse, which applies if all the different interpretations are possible for a particular verse and are supported by texts of the Qur’aan and Sunnah. This type of differences is possible and all the views are true and of equal worth because they are correct, and all these views are what the verse is referring to, and the Qur’aan testifies to each of these views.

Arguing against the Qur’aan using archaeology

would you please answer the following question, asked by my none-Muslim coworker.
On top of this, the Egyptians had a fairly standardized code of punishment, which was generally followed. The punishment for treachery was to have the tongue cut off, blasphemy was one hundred beatings. If a crime was committed, it was formally charged and punished, it was not a heat of the moment thing.
To me this is a problem of logical inconsistency in the Qur'an. Could someone please rationally explain this for me.
David "
I really need the answer to his question ASAP please,

al-hamdu lillaah.
The problem lies in that your friend is a kafir (non-believer) who believes in what the archeologists say more than in what Allaah the Most Exalted says. The only solution is that this friend of yours realizes and believes that the One who created Moses, the magicians, the Pharaohs, and the Persians, knows them better, and knows every minute detail in their lives and all the events that occurred to them, than anyone else. And tell this friend of yours, who claims that he has read the story of Moses and the Pharaoh: Doesn’t Allah the Most Exalted say in the Qur’aan, with regards to the dialogue that took place between Moses and the Pharaoh (interpretation of the meaning): Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said: " What about the generations of old (previous generations)? Musa (Moses) said : " The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor does He forget’’ Verses # 51-52, surat Ta-ha.
We ask Allah to guide your friend to the truth and to reward you for trying to call him to Islam

Why does the Qur’aan not mention the story of Haajar and Zamzam?

Why does the Quran, whereas the Bible does, not make a mention of the institution of circumcision as well as the story of Hagar and the miraculous well of Zamzam?

Praise be to Allaah.
You might as well ask, why does the Qur’aan not explain the number of prayers during the day and night, and the number [of rak’ahs in] each prayer, and what should be recited in the prayer, and how the prayer should be done… And why does it not speak in detail about zakaah, and Hajj, and fasting, and so on?
Allaah has made the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) the detailed explanation of that which is mentioned in general terms in the Qur’aan. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad) the Dhikr [reminder and the advice (i.e. the Qur’aan)], that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them”
[al-Nahl 16:44]
The matters which you mention are explained in the Sunnah, and both of them – the Sunnah and the Qur’aan – are wahy (revelation) from Allaah.
Shaykh Sa’d al-Humayd
There follows the story of Haajar and Zamzam from the Sunnah, so that you will have no need of the Bible, of which we cannot be sure that the content is correct.
Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated the story of Haajar, the wife of Ibraaheem and the mother of his son Ismaa’eel. He said:
Ibraaheem brought her and her son Ismaa’eel while she was suckling him, to a place near the Ka'bah under a tree on the spot of Zamzam, at the highest place in the mosque. During those days there was nobody in Makkah, nor was there any water. So he made them sit over there and placed near them a leather bag containing some dates, and a small water-skin containing some water, and set out homeward. Ismaa’eel's mother followed him saying, "O Ibraaheem! Where are you going, leaving us in this valley where there is no person whose company we may enjoy, nor is there anything (to enjoy)?" She repeated that to him many times, but he did not look back at her. Then she asked him, "Has Allah ordered you to do this?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Then He will not neglect us," and returned while Ibraaheem went on his way. When he reached al-Thaniyyah, where they could not see him, he faced the Ka'bah, and raising both hands, prayed to Allaah in the following words:
“O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka‘bah at Makkah) in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As‑Salaah (Iqaamat‑as‑Salaah). So fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allaah) provide them with fruits so that they may give thanks”[Ibraaheem 14:37 – interpretation of the meaning]
Ismaa’eel's mother went on suckling Ismaa’eel and drinking from the water (she had). When the water in the water-skin had all been used up, she became thirsty and her child also became thirsty. She started looking at him (i.e. Ismaa’eel) tossing in agony (or he said: kicking with his heels). She left him, for she could not endure looking at him, and found that the mountain of al-Safa was the nearest mountain to her on that land. She stood on it and started looking at the valley keenly so that she might see somebody, but she could not see anybody. Then she descended from al-Safa and when she reached the valley, she tucked up her robe and ran in the valley like a person in distress and trouble, till she crossed the valley and reached al-Marwa where she stood and started looking, expecting to see somebody, but she could not see anybody. She repeated that (running between al-Safa and al-Marwa) seven times.
Ibn ‘Abbaas said: the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "This is the source of the tradition of the walking between them (i.e. al-Safa and al-Marwa). When she reached al-Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the voice again and said, “O (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear your voice; have you got something to help me?" And she saw an angel at the place of Zamzam, digging the earth with his heel (or his wing), till water flowed from that place. She started to make something like a basin around it, using her hand in this way, and started filling her water-skin with water with her hands, and the water started flowing out after she had scooped some of it."
Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) added, "May Allah bestow Mercy on Ismaa’eel's mother! Had she left the Zamzam alone (flowing without trying to control it) (or had she not scooped from that water) (to fill her water-skin), Zamzam would have been a stream flowing on the surface of the earth." The Prophet further added, "Then she drank (water) and suckled her child. The angel said to her, 'Don't be afraid of being neglected, for this is the House of Allah which will be built by this boy and his father, and Allah never neglects His people.' The House (i.e. Ka’bah) at that time was on a high place resembling a hillock, and when torrents came, they flowed to its right and left. She lived in that way till some people from the tribe of Jurhum or a family from Jurhum passed by her and her child, as they (i.e. the Jurhum people) were coming through the way of Kada'. They landed in the lower part of Makkah where they saw a bird that had the habit of flying around water and not leaving it. They said, ‘This bird must be flying around water, though we know that there is no water in this valley.’ They sent one or two messengers who discovered the source of water, and returned to inform them of the water. So, they all came (towards the water)."
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) added, "Ismaa’eel's mother was sitting near the water. They asked her, 'Do you allow us to stay with you?' She replied, 'Yes, but you will have no right to possess the water.' They agreed to that." Ibn ‘Abbaas said: the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) further said, "Ismaa’eel's mother was pleased with the whole situation as she used to love to enjoy the company of the people. So, they settled there, and later on they sent for their families who came and settled with them so that some families became permanent residents there. The child (i.e. Ismaa’eel) grew up and learnt Arabic from them and (his virtues) caused them to love and admire him as he grew up, and when he reached the age of puberty they made him marry a woman from amongst them.
After Ismaa’eel's mother had died, Ibraaheem came after Ismaa’eel's marriage in order to see his family that he had left before…
Then Ibraaheem came back later on. He saw Ismaa’eel under a tree near Zam-zam, sharpening his arrows. When he saw Ibraaheem, he stood up to welcome him, and they greeted each other as a father does with his son and a son does with his father. Ibraaheem said, 'O Ismaa’eel! Allah has given me an order.' Ismaa’eel said, 'Do what your Lord has ordered you to do.' Ibraaheem asked, 'Will you help me?' Ismaa’eel said, 'I will help you.' Ibraaheem said, ‘Allah has ordered me to build a house here,' pointing to a hillock higher than the land surrounding it." The Prophet added, "Then they raised the foundations of the House (i.e. the Ka'bah). Ismaa’eel brought the stones and Ibraaheem was building, and when the walls became high, Ismaa’eel brought this stone and put it for Ibraaheem who stood on it and carried on building, while Ismaa’eel was handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, ‘Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower' [al-Baqarah 2:127 – interpretation of the meaning]. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) added, "Then both of them went on building and going round the Ka'ba saying: ‘Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower’ [al-Baqarah 2:127 – interpretation of the meaning] . Saheeh al-Bukhaari, 3113
